My Book Has Received Another Award, and Also Check Out My Latest Essay, “Boynton Canyon”

I was thrilled to learn this morning that my book, Finding My Way Home: Fighting Depression Backpacking in Central Florida, has received another award, this time from the 12th Annual Independent Author Network (IAN) Book of the Year Awards. My book was named as Finalist in the IAN Book of the Year Awards category for Nonfiction: Mind/Body/Spirit. Thank you, IAN!

Also, on Wednesday, Four Tulips published my essay titled “Boynton Canyon” on its website, and will also be publishing it later in a printed issue. “Boynton Canyon” is a love letter to my wife and daughter about hiking we did in Sedona during a spring break trip mentioned in my book. This is the second piece of mine published by Four Tulips this year, as they also published “Coining Out” in their first issue and awarded it Honorable Mention in their New Beginnings writing contest. Thank you also, Four Tulips!
