Come Join Me (Virtually) on Sept. 27th for a Live Reading of My Essay, “Cognitive Distortion”

I recently learned that an essay of mine titled “Cognitive Distortion” will be published in the next issue of Thorn & Bloom magazine, and its publisher will be hosting an online Live Author Reading event on Saturday, September 27th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST). The other authors and I will be presenting our essays and poems centered around Issue 3’s theme, The Splinters We Carry. It looks like I’m slated to be third to read, which they estimate to start around 2:20 p.m. EST (11:20 a.m. PST).

Thorn & Bloom is a quarterly publication dedicated to exploring the transformative power of self-care as a pathway to personal and collective liberation. It seeks to inspire its readers to break free from expectations and redefine their lives on their own terms. My essay explores how I’ve struggled to overcome self-doubt and warped perceptions of the world caused by my past struggles with depression.

The event is free, although they ask attendees to register in advance and invite them to make a small donation. Thanks in advance to anyone who joins me!
